A day in the life at Story Time…

September 26, 2012  |  Curriculum

(9.19.12) The sun is shining, it’s 65 degrees, and the children and staff at Story Time just returned from a half day trip to Shelburne Farms! We visited the donkeys, chickens, pigs, and even the stern looking turkeys. Sally brought the three’s to milk the farmyard cow, we ran in the fields, played in the children’s farmyard, and of course rode the tractor. What a wonderful day!

This past week we’ve begun some of our Story Time mainstay activities: Waldorf style watercolor painting – dipping our paper in the water and watching a tiny dot of paint magically fill the whole paper, Katie’s nature morning making sunflower bird feeders, harvesting in the Story TimeĀ garden…..

Watching the children discover radishes and pull them up was akin to finding buried jewels. The children are exploring and learning and developing close friendships.
