Welcome to The Schoolhouse 2010 Summer Camp!

Summer Day Camp at The Schoolhouse —

After a successful summer in 2009, The Schoolhouse Learning Center is excited to present our second summer camp program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment that children have asked to return to throughout the summer! We have created 9 weeks of creative and educational activities for children in grades 1-5.

A day camp for kids that suits working parents, too

Camp begins at 8:30 and ends at 5:30. Children will be divided into small, multi-age groups and assigned a camp counselor. Each group will spend the morning in theme-related activities with a snack break mid-morning. After lunch there will be a variety of enriching activities, with time for snacks, quiet time, and supervised, unstructured play until closing.

Staff Aide opportunities for older kids

Children who have completed grade 6 but are not yet 14 years old are invited to apply for special, reduced-rate staff aide positions. They will attend all regular camp activities, have opportunities to practice leadership skills with younger children, and provide special services to the camp. For example: reading to younger children, getting band-aides, teaching a game or craft, helping younger campers resolve conflict, etc. Tuition for these limited slots is $100 per week.
