This summer, Schoolhouse is offering 2 sessions of Summer Camp for elementary and middle school-aged students. Each session will run Monday through Friday. Activities during the day will be based on a theme. The regular camp day will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Early care (starting at 8:00am) and late care (ending at 5:30pm) will be available (for an additional fee) if requested in advance.
Explorer Week, July 30-August 3
During this week, we will go to new and different places to explore and see what we can find. We will follow our curiosity on and off the path, up and down streams and through fields. We will also learn about nature through experiences, arts, crafts and games. Our days will be spent almost entirely outside and off site on field trips. We have a bus for field trips and a certified lifeguard on staff.
Food Week, August 6-10
During this week, we will focus on food, food, glorious food! We will explore to find wild edibles as well as growing our own plants and working in the school gardens. In addition, we will bake and cook in kitchens and in the wild and even do art and games with food. Our days will be spent almost entirely outside. We will be away on field trips for several but not all of the days. We will have a bus for those field trips and a certified lifeguard on staff.
Danielle Levine will direct the program and will be joined by our AmeriCorps Members Jules Lees and Kitt Langdell.
Space is limited (based on the bus capacity)
